Puppy
Remember how it felt when you got that first puppy? The fluffy hair, the cute way the puppy would walk across the floor. All of these things are memories people have of there first puppy. Puppies are so lovable and sometimes people do forget that they grow up and have to be trained. Puppy training is probably one of the best investments you could make in your new puppy. People don’t realize how important training is for a number of reasons. Puppies tend to go about their life on their own. They will start to chew shoes, furniture and people think it’s the puppies fault. In reality proper training will eliminate this headache for the owner. The other big thing about training your puppy is if you are outside with him. You want him to listen and not wander away from you. I don’t know how many puppies have been killed because they were just not trained and the owner was not able to save it in time. As puppies get older they are a lot harder to train. So start early and you will be a lot happier with your puppy. Probably the one thing I remember most about my puppy was how tired they get. People tend to forget they are young and their attention span and ability to play does have limits. There just like having a new baby, we all have limits and so do puppies. One thing that also was great was trying to decide puppy names for your new addition. Everyone had there own idea what to name the puppy. Finding the perfect name was always one of the first things that I wanted to do. Many people look at a puppies face or how they walk and act before they even name it. Many companies and breeders will give you a puppy kit. You may wonder what a puppy kit is. It’s basically some sample dog food and usually a book to help you when you get home to get your puppy off to a great start. It’s early years are very important. Puppies grow quickly and proper nutrition and training will go along way in making you and your puppy a happy pair. Don’t forget to take a lot of puppy pictures as if you’re like me you will want to see how he or she grows in the coming years. Some people even make a scrapbook of their puppies experience. |
