Music has surely changed through the years with many new genres’ being added to the music equation. It use to be that country and pop music were the only kind of music that people cared about. Rap and alternative have been making inroads into the music industry. Music has gone from a more subtle kind of music to a more hard edgy kind of music and maybe that isn’t a god thing.

One of the other things that has changed a lot with music is music video’s are not used like they use to be. MTV was a big player of music video’s and now they are scarcely played anymore. It use to be that you had to have a music video to go along with the song to assure it success. I guess that idea has changed a lot as music has gone away from video’s. Music keeps evolving and as years go by things will keep changing, maybe not for the better though.

Country music has seen many chances and continues to change as we speak. The old country standard has been replaced with what people call new country. The music has also changed where more risque songs are now being produced than ever before. Younger country music artists such as Carrie Underwood and Tim McGraw are some of the more popular ones.

Rap music is probably one genre that has changed the landscape of music more than any other kind of music. Rap uses explicit lyrics and are geared to a more younger crowd that relates to this kind of music. Rap has an edge to it that takes about everyday life and things that country and pop music never wanted to tackle. This could be the reason rap music has seen such a quick growth in our society. Now not everything has been good with rap music and there has been some things that make you question it. Many rap artists have been killed way before their time. Many people contribute that to the fact that rap music is violent and causing more trouble than its worth.

Music such as rap sells very well so it’s not going anywhere for now. As you can see music has surely changed a lot and in the coming years it will change even more. Hopefully the future of music will get even better than what we have now.
