Dogs have been known as man’s best friend for the longest time and will continue for a long time. People love dogs and their popularity seems to grow more each year. This could be because many people love to have a companion and what better than a dog. You can toss a pan of food to him or her and they will still love you the same. Many more dog breeds exist now than ever before. People have so many to choose from sometimes it’s hard to pick one.

Dogs have become so popular that even Dog shows populated the television dial. The big show is the Westminster which is held in Madison Square Garden and is watched worldwide. Dogs just seem to get more popular as time goes by. Some of the biggest dog stores want you to bring your dog into their stores. A few years ago that was unheard of. Dogs have become more mainstream and people are buying more dogs than ever before. Thus companies are making more dog products that help your pet live a happier and longer life.

Today’s dogs can be seen wearing hats, scarfs and even jackets as owners make sure they are well-taken care of. It use to be owners would put off trips to take care of their pets, but that has changed a lot to. Dog kennels are now popping up everywhere and some of these are state of the art and make your pet feel like a king or queen. Dogs are big business and people and companies are starting to realize this. Just do a search for Dogs and you will be shocked to see how many things pop up. Dogs will continue to be popular and I don’t see it slowly down anytime soon.

I think probably one of the markets for Dogs that have changed the most is the dog food industry. It use to be only a few brands and choices were available for dog owners. That has changed a lot as many formulas are now available for dogs. Some dogs have stomach problems and can’t eat the same food as others, thus lamb, rice and special diet formula’s were created. These foods have found a market and keep expanding. Sometimes I think we take better care of our dogs than we do ourselves sometimes.
