Connectivity
Connectivity refers to the ability for a service or program to link up with another service in order to share data. The most common form of connectivity is through your internet service provider. Some of the different types of connectivity for accessing the internet are by way of a broadband connectivity and a wireless connectivity. The broadband connectivity is done through use of cables to transmit data to a remote server. The wireless connectivity is done by wireless signals bouncing off each other to transmit the data to the server for internet connection. There are some terms you may hear about which are known as poor and best connectivity. Poor connectivity refers to a poor connection through the network from your computer to the remote server which doesn’t allow for a smooth transmission of the data needed. The best connectivity is when the connection can transmit data back and forth through the network with ease. If you feel there is a poor connection with the Connectivity to a remote computer or server, then you can perform a connectivity test. There are some websites that can test your connection by uploading data from your computer to see how fast or slow the connection takes place. Some solutions they may offer, if you have a limited connectivity or no connectivity, is to check for bugs within your OS program. If there turns out to be one, they may direct you to install a certain patch to fix the problem. They may also have you reconfigure your router if they feel that may be the problem. If you have more than one computer within your household, you may want to consider sharing internet connectivity amongst them.
